Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance team, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal reporting for the firm, offices, and practice groups. You will build models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks, driving process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of progressive finance/FP&A experience in law firm or professional services.
• Four+ years leading or supervising analysts or staff.
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, internal reporting and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP/GL and time & billing systems; advanced Excel; Power BI/Tableau.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support financial strategy with modeling, scenario analysis, and driver analysis.
• Translate strategic priorities into operational plans and analytics.
• Prepare materials for senior leadership including dashboards and summaries.
• Manage daily activities of the finance team and ensure timely work delivery.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff.
• Oversee internal reporting for firm, offices, and departments with data integrity.
• Develop tools and dashboards to improve KPI visibility and reporting efficiency.
• Lead annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and multi-period outlooks.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis for leadership and practice groups.
• Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client information.
