Job summary

Join Eckerd Connects in Washington, DC as a Finance Manager in our Finance & Accounting group. You will supervise center finance functions, manage general ledger activities, and prepare journal entries while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You’ll analyze ledgers, review balances, and determine deviations, supporting transparent financial status and reporting. Strong Excel and accounting software skills are essential for budgeting and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area preferred.
• Prefer two years or more work-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The Finance Manager is responsible for supervising and administrating the center finance functions. Performs a variety of professional accounting duties such as monitoring various general ledger accounts, preparing, and reviewing journal entries, etc.
• Prepares journal entries for assigned accounts according to established schedule.
• Reviews trial balance to locate, identify and resolve all input and accounting errors.
• Maintains center records, ledgers, and journals as necessary to determine center financial status, as well as the 2110 financial report.
• Maintains Student Government Association checking account and reports.
• The Finance Manager performs analysis of various general ledger accounts by reviewing entries, compiling, and comparing transactions, determining, and resolving open items, and interpreting trends and/or deviations. This includes occasional special analyses as required.

Salary Range: $70,000

Additional Requirements: Analytical ability to reconcile and prepare reports, as well as the ability to prepare financial and other reports in a systematic, neat, and legible manner. Must possess sound working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, good organizational skills. Ability to work with detailed information. Excellent math skills. Ability to make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately. Ability to operate a computer and proficiency in use of mathematical spreadsheets, e.g., Skilled in using modern spreadsheet and data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or similar platforms, as well as proficient in using accounting software for budgeting, reporting, and financial tracking .
