Job summary

Ground Control Touring seeks a Finance Manager for our Brooklyn office to manage client escrow allocations, artist commissions, and bookkeeping duties. You will prepare settlements, assist in QuickBooks-based ledger operations, and handle monthly reconciliations with A/R and A/P reporting.

The role requires accuracy and strong communication across teams. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in the music industry, familiarity with settlement sheets, and a solid command of Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–3 years music industry experience required, ideally in booking or live entertainment with settlement sheets.
• Strong Excel and math proficiency.
• QuickBooks familiarity is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization and analytic skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and allocate incoming client escrow payments across the internal booking database.
• Review, process, and distribute artist commission statements from preparation to payment.
• Prepare payment requests including client settlements and EFTPS remittances.
• Assist GM with bookkeeping in QuickBooks: escrow tracking, revenue processing, expense reporting, inter-company true-ups.
• Monthly reconciliations and A/R + A/P reporting.

Job description

Ground Control Touring is looking for a Finance Manager in our Brooklyn office!

Duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Identifying and allocating incoming client escrow payments across Ground Control Touring's internal booking database.
• Reviewing, processing, and distributing artist commission statements, shepherding them from internal preparation to payment resolution.
• Preparing payment requests, including client settlements, deposit refunds, andEFTPSremittances.
• Assisting GM with bookkeeping responsibilities in QuickBooks - Client escrow tracking, commission revenue processing, employee expense report and operational credit card entry, inter-company true-ups.
• Monthly reconciliations and A/R + A/P reporting.

Applicants should possess the following skills/experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior office/administrative experience required
• 2-3 years music industry experience is required, ideally in a booking or live entertainment setting that involves familiarity with settlement sheets and complex artist deal structures.
• Strong excel and math proficiency
• Quickbooks familiarity a plus
• Strong (Mac) computer and Internet skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytic skills, and a passion for accuracy and proactive problem solving.
