Job summary

Ground Control Touring is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles or Nashville. You will manage the full lifecycle of concert and tour contracts, drawing on 3+ years of legal or business affairs experience in live music.

You will collaborate with agent teams on negotiation strategy, standardize terms with partners, and ensure timely, accurate contract processing across the roster. This role reports to the Managing Director.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal, paralegal, or business affairs experience in live music.
• Knowledge of industry contracting standards and artist-favorable terms.
• Experience with contract drafting and review in live performances.

Responsibilities

• Manage and own the full lifecycle of the contracting process for the agency's larger clients, tour deals, festival engagements, and international performances
• Collaborate with agent teams on contract negotiation strategy, aligning agency terms & conditions with overall artist objectives
• Standardize T&C with primary agency promoter partners to ensure streamlined agreement timelines and payment processing
• Optimize the process for issuing, reviewing, and revising a high volume of contracts, gathering necessary information while ensuring accuracy
• Train, educate, and clarify contract processes with key stakeholders and agency teams
• Provide agency wide database training and usage guidelines
• Ensure organized filing of contracts and other relevant documentation in agency database and other internal systems

Successful candidates will have 3+ years of legal,paralegal, or business affairs experience in live music, preferably from a booking agency orpromoter. They will be well versed in the concert and tour contracting process, with artist favorable terms at top of mind. This position reports directly to Ground Control Touring’sManaging Director.

• Strong knowledge of industry contracting standards, with an expertise in artist-favorableterms
• Well versed in the various artist deal structures associated with a live performance
• Exceptional eye for detail in contract drafting and review with an ability to identify errorsand inconsistencies
• Familiarity with Opus database a plus
