Job summary

Ameriprise Financial's Leadership Development Program offers 24 months of three 8‑month rotations across accounting, tax, finance and operations. You’ll build financial models, perform analytics for partners, and gain exposure to executive leadership through the ELT speaker series.

You’ll work on cost‑benefit analyses, P&L reviews, cash flow planning, and forecasting, with the goal of transitioning into a permanent role within Ameriprise Financial.

Qualifications

• Current Senior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics, or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Commitment to complete the full 24‑month Leadership Development Program.
• High degree of self‑motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
• Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with all levels of the organization including team members, managers, and senior leaders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Visa Sponsorship Applicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a cost benefit analysis to determine expected benefits of a new product or program.
• Analyze profit and loss statements and recommend solutions to grow revenues and manage expenses.
• Balance sheet management, due diligence, and process re‑engineering.
• Prepare expense and revenue forecasts and analyze trends and variances from plan and prior forecasts.
• Work with a team conducting an audit and testing controls of a business process; evaluate business risks and opportunities to mitigate risk.
• Assist with the creation of a cash flow spreadsheet for purposes of dividend planning.
• Perform analysis of taxable income from investments, variance analysis and year over year trends.
