Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Finance Manager in Property Management to act as a strategic financial partner to property management teams. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and stakeholder reporting while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

You will manage multifaceted financial lifecycles across properties, drive analytics, and partner with asset managers, property managers, and clients to optimize performance and NOI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in commercial real estate or property management.
• Advanced proficiency in financial reporting, GAAP accounting principles, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with real estate accounting software platforms (Yardi, MRI, or similar).
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for an assigned portfolio with timely, accurate financial statements and managerial reports.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic reforecasts in collaboration with property management teams.
• Provide strategic financial guidance through variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities impacting NOI.
• Oversee AP/AR and tenant billing ensuring proper revenue recognition and adherence to lease terms.
• Coordinate audits, tax returns, and loan compliance reporting with external advisors while maintaining internal controls.
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology for efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor junior finance staff and collaborate with asset management, leasing, operations, and corporate accounting teams.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and investment recommendations based on KPIs and market trends.
