Job summary

KNOWiNK, based in St. Louis, MO, seeks an experienced Controller / Director of Finance to lead our financial operations. You will own the accounting function, collaborate with the CFO and executive team on budgets and forecasts, and build strong controls for audits and regulatory compliance.

You’ll supervise accounting staff, manage payroll with our PEO, and drive strategic financial decisions to support growth and operational excellence at KNOWiNK.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive finance experience with a significant public accounting background.
• Strong audit and tax compliance experience in a public accounting environment.
• Proven track record managing month-end close, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO on monthly, quarterly, and annual close and budgets.
• Prepare and present GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax filings.
• Work with our PEO and payroll provider with People Operations on payroll.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close for timely, accurate reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls and procedures.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff and support growth initiatives.
