Job summary

nVent is offering a Finance Internship in Minneapolis, MN for Summer 2027. You will develop leadership and technical skills through diverse finance projects, formal and on-the-job training, and leadership opportunities within a global manufacturing company.

Internships span about 12 weeks and pay $22.00 per hour. Relocation and housing support are available for eligible candidates, with paid time off, sick time, volunteer time, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's in accounting, finance, business, economics or related field.
• Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Geographically flexible and willing to relocate to Minneapolis, MN for a summer internship.
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
• Energy to listen, learn and work in ambiguous situations.
• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see things through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A, Enterprise FP&A, Controlling, Internal Audit, External Reporting, Investor Relations, Manufacturing Finance, Commercial Finance, and Treasury during the internship.
• Participate in training and development opportunities and leadership exposure.
• Engage with mentors and networking activities within the global finance organization.

Finance Internship - Summer 2027

As a Finance Intern you will develop leadership and technical skills through a variety of projects and experiences, formal & information training, and leadership opportunities. Interns will have the opportunity to support several different facets of the finance and accounting function, while gaining exposure and valuable development within a global manufacturing organization.

Internship Program Details & Benefits:

• Internships are typically 12 weeks in length

YOU HAVE

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or related field
• Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028
• Geographically flexible and willing to relocate to Minneapolis, MN for a summer internship

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Previous leadership experience
• Previous industry-related internship work experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
