Job summary

nVent is offering an Operations Internship: Production Supervisor for a 12-week summer program in Solon, OH. intern will monitor production, conduct quality inspections, and participate in Lean initiatives while gaining exposure to a global manufacturing organization.

We value a current bachelor’s student in Operations or related field with strong communication, detail-orientation, and a collaborative mindset. Relocation and housing support are available for eligible candidates.

Operations Intern: Production Supervisor

nVent’s Production Supervisory Internship will provide the opportunity to support a variety of facets of day to day plant operations, gaining exposure and valuable development experiences within a global manufacturing organization. This is a 12-week full-time internship during summer 2027.

• Monitors daily production of various value streams and participating corrective actions
• Conducts quality inspections utilizing quality tools
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations
• Learn and support the application of Lean Methodologies and Principles to become a Lean change agent
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.

Internship Details

• Interns are paid $22 per hour
• Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
• Relocation and housing support is available for eligible candidates
• Interns and Co-ops receive paid time off, paid volunteer time, and paid holidays
• Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance may be offered a subsequent internship or full-time offer of employment with nVent

Location: The Operations Internship is based out of our facility in Solon, OH facility.

YOU HAVE:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Operations Management or related field

Preferred Qualifications
