Job summary

nVent is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Anoka, Minnesota. You will apply your training to real projects, perform engineering analyses, and help define product characteristics to meet specs. You’ll coordinate development schedules and assist in supplier selection while supporting field activities.

This paid internship offers relocation/housing support for eligible candidates, plus paid time off, sick time, volunteer time, and holidays, with potential for future opportunities.

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will:

Program Details

Interns and Co-ops are paid $25 hourly for time worked Relocation and housing support is available for eligible candidates Interns and Co-ops receive paid time off, paid sick time, paid volunteer time, and paid holidays. Interns and Co-ops who demonstrate outstanding performance may be offered a subsequent internship/co-op or full-time offer of employment with nVent Location: The Electrical Engineering Internship is located in Anoka, Minnesota

YOU HAVE:

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
• Current Junior, Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge in electronics & electrical engineering.
• Basic knowledge in analog power management a plus.
• Basic knowledge in Digital Signal Processors a plus.
• Basic knowledge in processor controlled data acquisition and device control a plus.
• Basic knowledge in PADs or other schematic / PCB layout systems a plus.
• Basic knowledge in thermodynamics and heat transfer a plus.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply these concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret schematics, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the technical strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
