Job summary

Baton Rouge General is seeking a Financial/Decision Support professional to perform financial, operational, and cost accounting analyses to support hospital campuses.

You will prepare reports, forecasts, and cost accounting updates, ensuring data integrity across departments while supporting quality initiatives and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient with spreadsheet, word-processing, and database programs.
• Proficient on 10-key calculator.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial, operational, and decision support functions as assigned.
• Assist in providing strategic and financial assessments and/or feasibility studies: support Decision Support staff in producing forecasts, analyses and evaluating performance of plans.
• Help maintain and develop cost accounting systems for system hospitals and other entities.
• Test, verify, and analyze data using established financial standards, procedures and techniques: review transactions, documents, records, and operational methods for control and efficiency.
• Coordinate reports and data related to departmental activities: compile data and assist with preparing oral and written reports; submit them on or before deadlines.
