Job summary

Baton Rouge General is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with psychiatric experience for a part-time role in Baton Rouge, LA. You will coordinate patient care, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of psychiatric experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Familiarity with HIPAA and safety regulations and practices
• Dedicated, compassionate RN with strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and support services
• Collect and prioritize patient health data through comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
• Identify nursing diagnoses and determine patient-centered outcomes
• Develop individualized interdisciplinary plans of care using current nursing standards
• Implement nursing interventions, administer treatments and medications, and coordinate care with support services
• Provide education to patients and families and plan for discharge
• Evaluate patient progress and revise plans of care accordingly
• Document all assessments, interventions, and evaluations thoroughly
• Conduct groups and maintain a safe therapeutic environment
• Attend staffings to update treatment plans
• Respond appropriately to emergency seclusion and restraint situations in compliance with regulations
