Baton Rouge General Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an accounting professional focused on accuracy to join our finance team. You will prepare and maintain financial reports, ensure journal entries are correct, and support budgeting and audits across departments.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Windows and spreadsheet tools.
• Experience preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and managing audits and budgets.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and safety practices in accounting.

What You Will Do:

Prepare and maintain financial reports and statements, ensure accuracy in journal entries and classifications, and support various special projects—all while coordinating accounting functions across departments using current technologies and systems.

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements in line with organizational standards
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, including compiling all necessary schedules and documentation
• Execute special projects including:
• Support for annual budget preparation
• Deliverables for internal and external audits
• Ledger maintenance and other reporting duties
• Leverage accounting systems and software to input, retrieve, and manage financial data
• Perform additional duties as assigned
