Job summary

Sonic Automotive Carson Honda is seeking a Finance Manager to drive dealership finance and insurance revenue and meet sales quotas. You will build relationships with lenders, manage monthly and annual forecasts, and guide sales staff through financing options while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as an Finance and Insurance Manager in an automotive dealership.
• Strong knowledge of financing options, lending practices, and insurance products.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple transactions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test.

Responsibilities

• Make a monthly projection of the vehicle requirements by department for the immediate 90-day sales period.
• Determine monthly and yearly forecasts in terms of unit sales, gross profit objectives, and departmental profits.
• Sell financing and other finance and insurance products to customers.
• Sell Extended Warranties and all other aftermarket items.
• Establish and maintain relationships with several finance sources; submit paperwork and obtain approvals.
• Review yesterday’s results with each salesperson and plan today’s actions.
• Conduct sales meetings and facilitate pre-delivery with the Service Manager.
• Handle all rate quotations.
• Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc.
• Log in sales income.
• Verify insurance with customers’ agents, obtain deposits, verify trade payoff.
