Overview

Position: Finance/HR Clerk — Location: York, PA Corps. Reports To: Corps Commanding Officers. Availability: Immediate. Schedule: Part Time, 25 hours per week, M–Th, 8:30am to 2:30pm. Salary: $13.00 per hour.

Position Overview

Responsible to manage Income and Expense transmittals to the Bookkeeper and EPA Departments who handle these items. Responsible to help with HR items as directed by the CO and/or Business/Development Director.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for AR and AP for York completing and sending to Divisional Headquarters the appropriate departments on a weekly basis.
  • Tracking income for special events (e.g., Christmas) when needed by CO, BDD, Women’s Auxiliary, and Advisory Board.
  • Prepare records of audit.
  • Sending necessary items to Bookkeeper for monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing money to be deposited in the bank with another member of staff.
  • Keeping retention records up to date.
  • Receives and files all related HR papers for employees.
  • Performs duties as assigned by the CO, ACO, and BDD.

  • Organizational skills to maintain a smooth operating accounting dept.
  • Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
