University of Nebraska–Lincoln is hiring a Finance/Grants Specialist for the College of Education and Human Sciences to provide expert financial and grant administration support. You will guide departments through budgeting, reporting, and compliance while coordinating pre- and post-award activities with faculty.

The role requires collaboration across several units, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex university policies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (financial management, accounting, grant administration, or related).
• Experience with SAP or another large integrated financial system.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, advising on financial management, funding strategies, and compliance across various funding sources.
• Review and coordinate complex financial activities: travel, contracts, journal entries, accounts receivable, capital assets, etc.
• Partner with faculty and departments to support development and submission of sponsored research proposals.
• Coordinate proposal budgets, documentation, submissions, and grant startup activities.
• Provide guidance on university financial policies, sponsored programs, and business processes.
• Prepare and review standardized and ad hoc financial reports, ensuring accuracy and resolving anomalies.
• Maintain records in accordance with policy.
