Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Finance Lead/Supervisor for the Product Development, Science & Technology (PDS&T) unit in Operations Finance. You will drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting, delivering timely insights and supporting planning and actuals analysis for multi-functional teams.

The role requires a strong background in finance, monthly close processes, and collaboration with business leaders to guide prioritization and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• CPA or MBA a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of SAP, BPC, and Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates independently to prepare relevant variance analysis for each month-end close cycle.
• Partners with the business leaders on reporting matters and data investigations.
• Works with Finance Shared Service on monthly close processes for timely results and issue resolution.
• Collaborates with Operations FP&A to complete required submissions.
• Provides management with insights into drivers of performance and risk; informs prioritization decisions.
• Supports capital planning and reporting; builds annual plans and LRPs and tracks RCEs.
• Leads or assists with ad hoc analyses and process improvements as needed.
• Works well with the team and stakeholders to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
