Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a seasoned Finance leader to drive the Plan and Long-Range Planning (LRP) for the Commercial Controllership Organization. You will deliver financial analysis, recommendations, and decision-support to senior leadership across Global Commercial Finance.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of company financial planning processes and governance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of automated accounting systems (SAP, BPC) and data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to craft executive-ready materials.
• Ability to solve business problems through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working independently as well as in cross-functional teams; able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Global Financial Planning: drive annual Plan and Long-Range Planning for Global Commercial.
• Own Forecast Coordination: align inputs, validate assumptions, deliver timely forecasts.
• Influence Senior Stakeholders: prepare executive-ready insights for leadership.
• Orchestrate Cross-Functional Alignment: partner with Finance, Commercial, Legal, R&D, Operations.
• Strengthen Financial Governance: ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Optimize Planning Processes: standardize tools, templates, and schedules.
• Translate Performance Into Insights: analyze Plan vs. actuals and EUR benchmarks.
• Enable Better Business Decisions: deliver concise financial analysis and ad hoc insights.
• Lead and Develop Talent: coach and develop finance team for growth.
• Build a Culture of Ownership across the organization.
