Job summary

AV is seeking a Director of Finance to provide financial leadership for the Product Line, partnering with senior leadership to meet performance goals and strengthen internal controls. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the business units, with responsibility for staff and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in finance within Aerospace/Defense/Technology, with 5+ years in management, and hands-on experience with ERP/FP&A

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 12+ years of finance experience within Aerospace/Defense/Technology with 5+ years of direct managerial experience.
• Experienced with project accounting.
• Experience with ERP & Financial Planning Systems (Oracle/Hyperion/Unanet/OneStream).
• Experienced managing budgets and the annual planning process.
• Experienced reviewing contracts and preparing financial models.
• Experience in a product-based company with inventory and warranty accounting.
• Experience in a public company.

Responsibilities

• Direct financial assurance and control across reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Oversee and lead Product Line Business Managers and staff.
• Lead pricing strategy, bid reviews, negotiations, and margin monitoring.
• Develop and implement financial strategy at the Product Line level.
• Drive working capital and cash flow performance to meet budget commitments.
• Support SOX and government audits and external auditors.
• Collaborate with Operations on cost and inventory data.
