Job summary

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) in Wisconsin seeks a Director of Finance for Manufacturing Operations. This role partners with Manufacturing leadership to provide strategic financial direction, forecasting, capital planning, and cost management across global facilities.

The position leads a team of manufacturing finance professionals, ensuring strong governance, robust reporting, and data-driven decision support to improve profitability and working capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Advanced degree and/or CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years related financial experience; at least 5 years in management.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and BI tools like Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to Manufacturing leadership and provide financial guidance and strategic decision support through analysis.
• Drive financial transparency and accountability across manufacturing organizations.
• Present monthly financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.
• Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, monthly estimates, and long-range planning for manufacturing operations.
• Oversee cost performance, including direct labor, overhead, fixed cost absorption, inventory, productivity, and cost reduction programs.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances and operational performance metrics.
• Identify and execute cost improvement opportunities with operations leadership.
• Develop manufacturing cost standards and operational reporting.
• Prioritize capital spending and ensure ROI; lead working capital optimization.
