Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker seeks a Finance Director, T&O FP&A to lead financial planning, budgeting and analysis for the Tools & Outdoor segment. This remote/hybrid role partners across operations, controllership, commercial and investor relations to deliver timely insights and board-ready reporting.

The candidate will direct monthly close and forecasting cycles, build compelling presentations for senior leadership, and develop the FP&A team while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance.
• 10 years of work experience, including minimum 5 years in Finance / FP&A roles.
• Strong Analytical Skills, Proven Problem-Solving Skills, Solid Oral and Written Communicator, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Ability to work across all functions, Generate Solutions/Recommendations to issues before topic is presented to management, and excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute key aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and reporting of financial performance for the T&O business.
• Lead monthly and quarterly close, reporting, forecasting, and planning cycles to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of daily, monthly, and quarterly financial deliverables, including business reviews, forecasts, budgets, management reporting, and board-level materials.
• Develop clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate financial presentations for senior leadership, including executive and Board of Directors audiences.
• Provide strategic leadership to the FP&A function by setting priorities, developing team capabilities, and fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
