Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a finance leader for the consumer and small business credit card segment within Payments. The role will translate performance, economics, and market dynamics into clear guidance that drives sustainable growth and strong risk-adjusted returns.

The leader will collaborate with Product, Marketing, Risk, Credit, Operations, Technology, and others to shape portfolio strategy, govern finances, and influence cross-functional decisions in a dynamic payments environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field and 13+ years of financial management experience.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience leading complex financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision support.
• Strong credit card finance knowledge within payments and risk contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance strategy, planning, forecasting for Proprietary consumer and small business credit card products.
• Own financial performance management across revenue, balances, net interest income, interchange, fees, rewards, marketing, credit losses, fraud, servicing, and operating expenses.
• Develop annual plans, rolling forecasts, long-range outlooks, and scenario analyses; identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and actions.
• Build and evaluate business cases for new products, pricing, and other strategic investments; apply ROI, NPV, and cohort economics analyses.
• Prepare concise, executive-ready insights and recommendations for senior leadership; maintain strong governance and controls.
