Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a finance leader to oversee the consumer and small business credit card segment within Payments.

You will provide strategic and financial leadership across the full credit card P&L, translating performance, market dynamics, and investments into clear recommendations for sustainable growth and strong risk-adjusted returns. You will partner with the General Manager and cross-functional teams to shape portfolio strategy, improve performance, and ensure robust financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• 13+ years of relevant financial management experience.
• Five+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision support.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance strategy, planning, forecasting, and decision support for Proprietary consumer and small business credit card products.
• Own financial performance management across revenue, balances, net interest income, interchange, fees, rewards, marketing, credit losses, fraud, servicing, and operating expenses.
• Develop annual plans, rolling forecasts, long-range outlooks, and scenario analyses; identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and management actions.
• Build and evaluate business cases for new products, product refreshes, rewards propositions, pricing changes, marketing offers, digital capabilities, and other strategic investments.
• Apply rigorous financial modeling to assess return on investment, net present value, payback, customer lifetime value, cohort economics, and risk-adjusted returns.
