Advocate Health is offering a remote, 10-week internship in its People & Culture Workforce Development department. The role runs May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Interns will work from home, with residency in TX and other listed states allowed.

Responsibilities include building Excel-based automated processes, reviewing charges, and preparing financial analyses for Advocate Health and affiliates. Emphasis on cost accounting, budgeting, and revenue cycle support.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in Finance/Accounting/Business Analytics or related field; junior/senior status.
• GPA at least 2.5 and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with Excel and perform data analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Develop automated processes in Excel to minimize manual tasks.
• Review, analyze, and investigate discrepancies in charges and adjust as needed.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses for Advocate Health and affiliates.
• Support budgeting, cost accounting, and variance analysis activities.
• Develop pricing procedures using costing methodologies and market data.
• Assist with operating and capital budgeting and reports.
• Provide support for finance, cost accounting and reporting areas.
• Apply government program rules to financial activities and perform charge reconciliation.
• Participate in revenue cycle projects and data extraction for trend analysis.
• Update reports and perform administrative duties as needed.
