Job summary

Signet Jewelers seeks a Senior Data Analyst to support SDS Finance with inventory accounting, COGS, and margin analysis. You will lead financial reporting, dashboards, and ad‑hoc analyses to enable data‑driven decisions across cross‑functional teams.

The role emphasizes process improvement, SOX compliance, and collaboration with supply chain and IT to optimize systems and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics with 3–5 years of financial analysis and accounting experience; CPA or CMA is a plus
Experience in retail, wholesale, or e‑commerce environments is highly desirable
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, with a focus on inventory and COGS accounting

Responsibilities

Analyze and report on inventory balances, inventory reserves, gross margin, and COGS
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc financial reports for management decision‑making
Assist with month‑end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis with actionable insights
Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to improve visibility of financial and operational results
Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and IT for system optimization
