Job summary

Orion Services Group is seeking a Controller in Vineland, NJ to oversee the Finance Department, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive month-end close and cash management. The role partners with the Director of Finance to support strategic growth and operational efficiency.

The Controller will lead the accounting team, ensure compliance with US GAAP, manage intercompany activities, and provide timely financial insights for decision-making in a fast-paced construction/mechanical services

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in construction accounting or similar role.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations, workflow, and personnel of the Finance Department.
Own the 5-business day monthly close and intercompany reconciliations.
Prepare, review and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and WIP.
Ensure US GAAP revenue recognition for PoC and service contracts.
Own A/R, collections, and daily cash receipts; monitor aged receivables.
Monitor cash activity and assist with forecasting and working capital management.
Assist budgeting/forecasting and respond to ad hoc financial requests.
Take ownership of special projects and provide financial insights to senior management.
