Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Finance Compliance Manager—Prevailing Wage and IRA to lead a team responsible for the company’s prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance program across multiple states. You will ensure accurate pay classifications, fringe treatment, certified payroll support, and audit-ready documentation in line with Davis-Bacon/DBRA and IRA requirements.

The role partners with Legal, Payroll, HR and project teams to reduce compliance risk, manage audits, and drive processes,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in prevailing wage compliance and related areas.
Experience with audits and issue remediation is preferred.
Prior people management experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Excel and payroll/timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

Own the prevailing wage and IRA apprenticeship compliance program across applicable projects; establish procedures, controls and documentation standards.
Translate contract, grant and customer requirements into project setup, workflows and responsibilities.
Directly manage and develop team members; hiring, onboarding, training and performance management.
Set team goals, manage capacity, prioritize across projects, and handle high-risk issues.
