Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development (Finance) to join the Firm on a hybrid basis. You will support day-to-day BD activity for the Finance practice, work with partners to execute strategic plans, and help strengthen client relationships and market position in Private Credit, Structured Finance and related sectors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA or JD preferred) and 7+ years of marketing and BD experience in a law firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• MBA or JD preferred.
• 7+ years of marketing and business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with CRM, Foundation, and other Marketing databases and knowledge of relevant Firm software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Supports related industry or sector initiatives as needed.
• Leads pitches, RFP responses, and practice credentials.
• Drives cross-selling opportunities and pipeline development across Finance practice.
• Collaborates with partners to develop BD strategies and client targeting efforts.
• Manages ROI and budgets for BD initiatives.
• Mentors BD team members and coordinates with Marketing, Communications, Events, and Strategic Intelligence.
