KWI, in Melville, NY, is seeking a Finance Associate to join the Accounting & Finance team. You will manage AP/AR, support month-end close, and help implement AI-powered workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.

You will work directly with the Head of Finance and Operations, contributing to cross-functional processes and leveraging AI to automate routine tasks while ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.

Qualifikationen

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role with hands-on AP and AR ownership.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end close process.
• Experience working with accounting software — NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day work.
• High attention to detail with accurate, organized financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without losing momentum.
• Clear communicator across departments and with external vendors.

Aufgaben

• Manage the full AP cycle — processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Support the rollout and ongoing adoption of the AI-powered AP system, shaping workflows and identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Own AR — invoicing clients, tracking collections, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist Senior Financial Analyst and Senior Staff Accountant with financial reporting, audit preparation, and ad-hoc analysis.
• Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose improvements; actively use AI to automate tasks and surface insights.
