Job summary
The Public Theater in New York, NY is seeking a Finance Associate to support the Senior Accountant in daily accounting operations, focusing on Accounts Payable, cash management, and reconciliations. The role involves using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and may extend support to other departments as needed.
Reporting to the Controller, you will assist with month-end close, audits, and production-related revenue tracking while maintaining strong internal controls in a hybrid work
Qualifications
- Two years of accounting or finance experience.
- Experience with Financial Edge NXT, SAP Concur, Tessitura.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to automate workflows.
- Knowledge of GAAP and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Accounts Payable process and regular disbursements.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Support monthly and year-end close activities.
- Assist with schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.
