Job summary

Cantex in Groves, TX seeks an Assistant Financial Manager to support the Financial Manager, ensure accurate financial records, and maintain policy compliance. The role provides financial assistance to facility operations and may include clerical duties.

Responsibilities encompass AR data handling, Medicaid billing, admission forms, and data reporting. Payroll experience is required; the position involves collaboration with the finance team and potential receptionist duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Medical billing experience highly desirable.
• Proficiencies in math and language usage.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Medical billing software preferred.
• Knowledge of timekeeping systems desirable.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Payroll experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accumulates and provides data/documents for maintenance of accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assists in maintaining current patient census data.
• Bills Medicaid agency and tracks related forms, documents, payments, etc.
• Ensures accurate completion of admission forms, contracts, etc.
• Compiles and prepares data and reports as required.
• Ensures compliance with Financial Management Systems.
• Provides administrative services for Administrator and Finance Manager as appropriate.
• May act as facility receptionist in greeting visitors and patients families.
• May assist patients in filing private insurance claims.
• Ability to function in a Team atmosphere.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Networks Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
