CMG seeks highly motivated applicants for employment as an Accounting and Operations Specialist to become an integral part of our team!

The Finance and Operations Specialist is responsible for the day to day management of financial accounts. This work will include accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses, performing reconciliation for various client accounts, and developing systems for financial management. This position will be primarily responsible for the day to day accounting entries into Quickbooks. This person works closely with all members of the CMG team and will report to the Director of Operations. This position will also assist with HR and Compliance tasks. This position can be based in the Grand Rapids, MI office; Lansing, MI office, or remote.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Record accounting transactions to the general ledger
2. Pay invoices from contractors and vendors
3. Produce a weekly cash flow report for the senior management team
4. Compile weekly/monthly financial reports and statements for senior management team
5. Process employee expense reimbursements
6. Manage work across multiple clients and projects
7. Assist with special projects, as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED

1. 2+ years of related accounting/finance/operations experience
2. High level of technical and financial acumen and desire to solve technical problems as they arise
3. General ledger and month-end accounting experience
4. Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus
5. Accounts payable and receivable experience
6. Ability to work at a fast pace with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
7. Ability to work across lines of difference and demonstrated cultural competency
8. Experience with financial analysis and reporting
9. Prior experience with tax accounting
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation depends on experience and is highly competitive. Compensation range of $50,000 to $60,000. We have a progressive benefits package matched by few companies or organizations; it includes:
