Job Description

Job Title: MWD Remote Operations Specialist

Location: Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

1. Conduct Remote Operation (execution) of MWD Services.
2. Ensure Service Delivery of all MWD Operations by performing Pre-Run Verification of configurations, Cross Over Angle, Total Magnetic Correction, Sensor Offsets, Magnetic Spacing, Azimuth Error Prediction, Job Paperwork Completeness, Pre-Run Troubleshooting, and Issue Capture.
3. Ensure Service Delivery through Post-Run Analysis including Battery Health, Shock and Vibration, Sensor Health, Deviation Request, Document collection and Storage, End of Run/Well Reporting, and Customer Data Uploads.
4. Maintain documentation and follow-up of all issues within MS Directional R&M Databases.
5. Maintain Tool History Summaries and Symptom Analysis Data.
6. Coordinate Well Planning Communication to Field Operations.
7. Conduct Anti-Collision Scans, Avoidance Schemes with Customer Specific Workflows and Applications.
8. Manage Survey, Multi-Station Analysis (MSA), Advanced Real-Time Corrections, and Post-Run Corrections, including Customer Communication.
9. Monitor live all MWD Jobs (Remote Machines) and provide proactive support.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other business systems.
• Experience with or in MWD Field Operations and/or Remote MWD Operations.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, able to oversee others, influence decisions, and identify problems with solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Observe all safety procedures relevant to the environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years MSD MWD Field Experience or 2+ years MWD industry experience.
• Ability to work in Houston office on scheduled days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Reside or relocate to Houston, TX.
• Knowledge of MWD Theory (Pulse and EM).
• Technical or higher education degree.
• Proficiency with MWD Systems and Software (e.g., BenchTree, Noralis, Extreme EM, DigiDrill, Innova Well Seeker, etc.).
• Experience in MWD/DD Field Operations or Remote MWD/DD Operations.

Additional Details

Work is primarily in a climate-controlled/office environment with minimal hazards. Regularly sit, stand, walk, with occasional lifting, bending, and frequent use of near vision for reading and equipment use.
