Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related field.
• Knowledge of reconciliations, general ledger accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, budgeting, and audit support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to research discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information and effective organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Complete monthly and year-end bank, general ledger, fund, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue, and expenditure reconciliations.
• Research discrepancies, document findings, and report unresolved items to the Finance Officer.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for independent audits.
• Monitor budgets, identify variances, and track Budget Adjustment Requests (BARs).
• Assist with payroll liability and PERA contribution reconciliations.
• Review procurement, invoice, payment, travel, and mileage documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Organize and reconcile grant awards, reimbursements, receivables, and capital project expenditures.
• Maintain accurate, organized financial records and electronic files.
• Ensure all work is clearly documented for review by Finance Department staff and auditors.

Peak Performers is hiring for Finance and Audit Support Specialists! In this position you will assist with financial reconciliations, accounting records, audit schedules, and other financial related activities. Major Duties

• Complete monthly and year-end bank, general ledger, fund, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue, and expenditure reconciliations.

What Are We Looking For?

• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related field, preferably within a government or public-sector environment.
• Knowledge of financial reconciliations, general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and audit support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using financial or accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to research discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
• Effective organization and communication skills with the ability to manage confidential financial information.

Exciting Opportunity Details

• Rate:$29.50/hour
• Contract:October 2026 - January 2027; possibility of extension
• Worksite Location: City of Rio Communities, NM 87002 (Onsite)
• Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
