Qualifications

Team You Will Be Joining

Join a small accounts payable team supporting a New Mexico state agency. Based onsite in Santa Fe, this position also supports the Socorro and Albuquerque locations. You will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and receive direct training from the supervisor and a fellow team member.

What You Will Do

• Review invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify financial coding, required approvals, and available funds before processing payments.
• Process invoices, vouchers, and inter-agency payments through the SHARE financial system.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and missing documentation with vendors, purchasing, and finance staff.
• Reconcile payment records, purchase orders, and expenditures.
• Monitor purchase order balances to prevent overpayments and unauthorized spending.
• Track outstanding invoices, pending payments, and items requiring follow-up.
• Maintain organized financial records and prepare routine payment reports.
• Support audits, financial reviews, and fiscal year-end activities.
• Follow agency procedures, records retention requirements, and internal financial controls.

• Rate:$31/hour
• Contract: ASAP till December 31, 2026
• Worksite Location: Santa Fe, NM
• Work Setting: Onsite in a shared office space.
• Other Key Details: Direct training provided, with potential for conversion to a permanent, full-time position.
