Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the Accounts Payable staff, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
• Support month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
• Contribute to audit readiness by ensuring all financial records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with accepted accounting principles and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to streamline and improve accounting procedures and operations.
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting any trends or issues that need to be addressed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a supportive and productive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred but not required.
