Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager for a client in Marshall, MO. You will oversee all accounting operations, lead month-end close, and drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

This role requires GAAP expertise, cash-flow management, and strong communication with leadership. A CPA is preferred and you will supervise accounting staff while pursuing process improvements and ERP system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Plus a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems; ERP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an excellent ability to communicate.
• Applied mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, profitability, cash flow, and KPIs, and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure financial records and reporting are maintained in accordance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis to support operational efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain banking relationships and manage cash flow to support business operations and growth.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff while driving process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration.
