Job summary

TEGNA is seeking a Manager of Financial Analysis & Reporting to provide timely financial analysis to corporate leadership and business units. You will lead FP&A activities, forecast, budget, and ad-hoc reporting, while mentoring a team and ensuring data integrity using Tableau and PowerBI.

In this role you will drive improvements in reporting processes, coordinate month-end close, and partner with stakeholders to explain variances and trends across revenue and expenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or related fields.
• 7+ years of financial analysis experience or comparable work experience.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to deliver results by stated deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable completing projects both alone as well as in a team environment.
• Strong data gathering and data warehousing skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (PowerPivot/DAX experience a plus), knowledge of Oracle EPM, and ability to create with BI software (Tableau, PowerBI)

Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage assigned direct reports.
• Perform and train on financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting.
• Support month-end close processes and review financials/reports for accuracy.
• Research, gather, and interpret data for data integrity and reporting.
• Analyze and explain fluctuations in revenue and expenses vs. projections.
• Provide insights into business trends to internal stakeholders.
• Develop solutions to streamline tasks and processes for the finance group
