Job summary

WMATA's Digital Modernization Business Operations internship offers hands-on experience in financial operations, supporting Power BI dashboards, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting to inform strategic decisions.

You'll develop skills in financial analysis, business intelligence, data reporting, and budget management while gaining exposure to how technology investments are planned within a large public-sector organization. Interns work in MD and DC locations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree aligned with the internship.
• Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Ability to research and analyze data and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, reviews and analyzes data to produce reports.
• Assists in preparation of management, operations, technical and administrative reports.
• Produces presentations and data visualizations for assigned department.
• Participates in training sessions and departmental meetings.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting and data reporting activities.
