Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites students to join the Digital Modernization Business Operations team as an intern. You will support financial operations, help maintain Power BI dashboards, analyze expenses, and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Interns will rotate to various departments across MD/DC locations, gain hands-on transit industry experience, and receive mentorship.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of personal computers and standard office equipment.
• Knowledgeable of spreadsheets, word processing and databases.
• Must be enrolled in college/university pursuing a degree related to the internship.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, reviews and analyzes data for reports.
• Researches data and assists in preparation of management and financial reports.
• Produces presentations, reports, and data visuals.
• Participates in training and department meetings.
• Gains exposure to transit industry functions.

Enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing a degree

Sophomore year eligibility after freshman
