Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites students to join the Digital Modernization Business Operations team for a 13-week summer internship. You will gain hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while supporting Power BI dashboards and data reporting to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Applicant must be attending an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a discipline deemed appropriate for the position intern is seeking.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and analyze data to produce reports.
• Research data for and assist in the preparation of management, operations, technical and administrative reports.
• Produce presentations, reports and data visualizations for assigned department.
• Review reports to identify problems and suggest solutions as instructed.
• Participate in trainings and attend department and office meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
• Participate in and/or lead departmental meetings and working sessions.
