Talentify is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Director of Finance by overseeing the accounts payable and accounting functions of the Agency in Buffalo, NY. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable and accounting experience.
• Experience with HUD housing accounting is a plus.
• Acumatica experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned finance staff.
• Oversees Accounts Payable department management and internal controls.
• Trains new managers in Accounts Payable processes.
• Oversees financial reviews of entities’ records and reports.
• Records journal entries for areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for contract and grant accounting and reporting.
• Reviews and approves housing entities’ financial reports.
• Assists with the annual budgeting process.
• Provides support to accounting staff for expense reconciliations.
• Ensures proper use of accounting software and creates efficiencies.
• Handles 1099/1096 filing annually.
• Prepares records for audits and financial reviews.
• Provides general accounting services in absence of other staff.
