You will gain hands-on exposure to statutory (SAP) and GAAP guidance, assist with monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations, and support both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a degree in accounting.
• Coursework and project experience in accounting principles is a must.
• Analytical drive with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly journal entries related to financial close.
• Research accounts transactions and prepares various monthly reconciliations utilizing subledgers.
• Assist Financial Reporting team with annual and quarterly regulatory filings including notes, tables and financial statements.
• Assist accounts payable team with reconciliations of Sales & Use Tax and Abandoned Property.
• Assist accounts receivable team with processing of Finance Agreements, Return Mail and Refunds.
• Assist with gathering information requested by auditors.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Special projects as assigned.
