Job summary

Axcelis is seeking a Final Test Engineer in Beverly, MA to join a fast-paced manufacturing team testing newly built ion implant systems. The role focuses on quality control testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on interaction with control, vacuum, and robotics subsystems to ensure delivery readiness.

You will travel up to 20% to customer sites worldwide, collaborate with assemblers, design and software engineers, and document interventions to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or physical science discipline.
• Execute quality control testing on newly built Ion Implant Systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose functionality problems discovered during test.

Responsibilities

• Travel with fellow Final Test Engineers to customer sites to support onsite testing.
• Document in detail all required interventions at test to allow for preventative actions for various build areas and design teams.
• Interface with assemblers, design engineers, software engineers and management during testing.
