Job summary

Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Process Engineer to support ion implant tool characterization, documentation, and application, interfacing with engineering, marketing and field teams to support product development and upgrades.

You will execute characterization plans, analyze tool performance data, support customer engagements and demonstrations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams under established technical direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/physics field.
• 0-3 years of semiconductor processing or equipment experience.
• Familiarity with ion implant concepts or similar tools is a plus.
• Basic SPC, data analysis and experimental methodology understanding.
• Ability to document results clearly and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Characterize ion implant tools and maintain data packages.
• Analyze tool performance data and trends for internal review.
• Support customer engagements, tool demonstrations, and feasibility assessments.
• Assist with recipe setup, wafer processing, and system qualification.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Systems Engineering, and Engineering teams on findings.
