Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Final Quality Auditor to verify finished goods meet quality standards before shipment. The role supports audits and continuous improvement within a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment in Holland, Michigan.

The position requires 2+ years in quality inspection or manufacturing auditing, familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 is a plus, and the ability to read inspection sheets and work instructions. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well enough to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing auditing, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects.
• Ability to read and interpret inspection check sheets and work instructions.
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspection work.

Aufgaben

• Perform final inspections on finished goods prior to packaging or shipment.
• Verify product appearance, measurements, functionality, labeling, and packaging.
• Ensure products comply with check sheets and work instructions.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and audit findings accurately.
• Communicate quality issues with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Approve or reject finished products based on quality standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Continuously identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
