Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (2PM-10PM, M-F). The role focuses on monitoring and measuring parts on the shop floor, escalating nonconforming product per Quality Standards, and performing regular quality checks using Plex ERP.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Qualifications include a High School diploma, 6 months quality experience, and preferred 1 year in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent with ability to read/write/speak English.
• 6 months quality experience required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates high standards of performance and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and gauge raw or welded parts according to operator checklist to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Verify first-piece inspection and approval per First Piece process to ensure quality parts.
• Support quality processes when internal/external quality failures occur and containment is needed.
• Ensure parts are packed per packaging instructions to meet customer requirements.
• Perform daily Layered Process Audits to verify adherence to quality processes.
• Monitor quality alerts to confirm validity and action.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area; participate in housekeeping and cross-training.
• Complete paperwork and documentation; meet daily production requirements.
