Job summary

MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Production Technician II for Final Assembly on the 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am). The role focuses on assembling, calibrating gas detectors and instruments, performing tests, and wiring/soldering as needed.

You will inspect visually, complete required paperwork, and input data into the computer system. The position requires soldering proficiency, reading drawings, and the ability to operate test equipment including oscilloscopes and voltmeters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months electronics manufacturing or related experience.
• Past soldering experience required.
• Associates Degree in electronics or electronic technology; or 3 years in permanent instrument area.
• Able to read and understand drawings, wiring diagrams and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, calibrate gas detectors and sub-assemblies, including wiring and soldering.
• Perform tests, set-up, and troubleshooting of moderately complex instruments.
• Visual inspection, minor repairs, and maintain related paperwork.
• Input information into the computer system as required.
