Job summary

MSA Safety is hiring a Production Technician II for Final Assembly at our Cranberry Township plant. The role involves assembling and testing moderately complex instruments, wiring and soldering, and transferring material to the shipping dock.

You will read drawings, maintain paperwork, and verify measurements using standard tools. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of manufacturing experience; soldering experience and Excel knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must attain ability to perform complex SAP transactions.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong manual dexterity for small components and hand tools.
• Read and interpret drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
• Willingness to work on various product groups and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test moderately complex instruments and sub-assemblies, including set-up and soldering.
• Transfer material to shipping dock.
• Perform visual inspections and minor repairs and rework.
• Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input data in computer system.
• Read and interpret drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
• Interpret results from measuring devices and verify accuracy.
• Operate standard software operations as part of production tasks.
