Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Final Assembler to complete the finishing touches on heat transfer equipment. You will perform bag and tag, final checklists, sealing, and packing for shipment, while following drawings and tolerances.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years with hand tools in manufacturing and some HVAC assembly exposure. The role offers strong health benefits, PTO, and a robust retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Shop courses or equivalent experience is helpful.
• Three years of work experience including use of small hand tools in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Some experience assembling HVAC equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final assembly process (referred to as “bag and tag”).
• Completing the final checklist of tasks for that unit.
• Cleaning unit inside and out; checking caulking of unit.
• Preparing loose items for shipment by boxing them and placing inside the unit.
• Referring defective parts to repair or correction to appropriate personnel.
• Preparing unit for shipment with decals, stretch wrap, plywood, etc.
• Using overhead cranes, power tools, wrenches, levels, etc.
• Reading drawings for design, dimensions, and tolerances.

It starts with sheet metal and other components and ends with you. The Final Assemblers are responsible for putting the finishing touches on our high-quality products before being delivered to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final assembly process (referred to as “bag and tag”)
• Completing the final checklist of tasks for that particular unit.
• Cleaning unit inside and out. Checking caulking of unit.
• Preparing loose items (such as components, filters, etc.) for shipment by boxing them and placing them inside the unit.
• Referring any defective parts of the unit for repair or correction to the appropriate personnel.
• Preparing unit for shipment with decals, stretch wrap, plywood, etc.
• Using overhead cranes, power tools, wrenches, levels, etc.
• Performing mathematical calculations involving addition and subtraction of dimensions represented decimally or in fractions.
• Reading drawings for design, dimensions, and tolerances.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Shop courses or equivalent experience is helpful.
• Three years of work experience including use of small hand tools in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Some experience assembling HVAC equipment is desirable
